This is the most wonderful little Italian restaurant I have been to in Colorado! Service was extremely awesome. The food was comparable to my own homemade Italian. I have not found a Italian restaurant in Colorado that I could actually get the food down. So if your hunting for a wonderful experience of food and service combined, I truly recommend Cranelli's
The food here is heavenly! Tried this place for the first time tonight and fell absolutely in love with it. It's a small and cozy restaurant with a delightful ambiance and superb food. The folks that run the place are soo welcoming and friendly. We made our reservation beforehand and our table was ready for us exactly on time even though the place was packed.The menu has a wide variety of delicious Italian food. Personally I felt that the half portions of the food was more than enough quantity for one person. Overall a big thumbs up for this place. Will definitely visit multiple times.
My wife made a reservation here for my birthday for 6 pm on Saturday. After waiting for nearly 30 minutes outside (it was 45 degrees), we were seated in the covered outside patio area. They had a few heaters running and said they had blankets if we wanted...seriously? Many of the other patrons sitting in the patio had their jackets on and one man had a blanket wrapped around him. No place on the website indicates you may be sitting in an exterior patio in the middle of November. We've been here many times in the past and the ambiance and the food really is good. That's the whole reason we intended to visit again. Sitting in an outside patio surrounded by concrete with a blanket on isn't. While we might have been able to get a different table, numerous other parties were also waiting so at that point, we just decided to eat somewhere else. Unfortunately, we won't be going back.
Cranelli's is absolutely amazing. The garlic knots and red sangria are to die for! Everyone, from the owner to the bartenders, servers and hostesses, is incredibly friendly. The only downside is I wish they were able to have a larger space, as half of the dining area is outdoors and might make for a chilly dinner this coming winter! But I think that may take away a bit from the charm of this cozy, family-run, neighborhood place...and I would hate to see them relocate, as they are literally next door. We will definitely need to be sure to plan ahead and make reservations! There is usually a little wait during normal eating times, but they are always quick to grab us a sangria while we wait :) I guess you could say we are "regulars" and plan to keep it that way!
Heard good things about this Restaurant. However, the comments about being cozy is a matter of perception. I felt that cozy was more small, cramped and filled with a din of noise. We could not get our order right with the waiter and was disappointed with the overall experience. It seems that this is really a "regulars" place. I don't think we'll be trying it again.
